Assistive Technology and the Campus Experience: How do Disabled Students Leverage (Assistive) Technology to Manage Campus Accessibility?
We would like to hear from you in an interview,
- what barriers you experience in your everyday student life
- whether and how you use digital technologies to overcome them and
- where you think new technologies can further contribute to the reduction of existing barriers.
The aim of the study is to survey the needs of students with disabilities with regard to accessibility and assistive technologies in a user-centred way. The results will be used to formulate design recommendations for follow-up studies aimed at developing assistive technologies to support disabled students in campus environments.
Participation in the study will be compensated with the payment of an expense allowance of 20€. The interview will last approximately 45 minutes. To participate, you should be an enrolled student at KIT and have a disability. We use a broad understanding of disability, which also includes neurodivergence, for example. It is important for us to get to know a large variety of different perspectives.
