Dmitry Alexandrovsky

Dmitry Alexandrovsky holds a postdoctoral position at the HCI & Accessibility Lab at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he works with Prof. Kathrin Gerling in the area of VR and Accessibility, and develops new research perspectives on disengagement from digital technology. He received his doctorate in August 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Rainer Malaka at the Digital Media Lab at the University of Bremen, Germany. The title of his dissertation was Engaging Interaction: Designing for Immersive and Sustained User Experiences. His Ph.D. research consists of a series of studies and artifacts that explore gameful design, haptic interaction in VR, and measurements of User Experience (UX) in design elements of user behavior and reflects on the intensity of experiences with interactive systems.
